In the beginning, Thule founding member Ake Skeppner sold direct to end users at windsurf competitions on the New England shoreline – from his station wagon.

Success in the ski rack business soon followed. Thule has worked hard to meet the demands of customers for more features and different products.

Thule ski racks include universal factory mounting hardware and a one key system, which includes two lock cylinders and keys. Thule racks can safely carry between four to six pairs of skis and most products don't require tools for set-up. With an oversized push button release, Thule ski racks are easy to open while wearing gloves. They fit shaped, traditional, blade style skis and installs quickly. The telescopic action brings the ski carrier to you for easy loading and unloading.
